Pumpkin Picking At Carrigan Farms in North Carolina

Pumpkin Picking

Pumpkin picking is one of my favorite activities. This has always been one of my favorite Fall activities since I was a child. Carrigan Farms was a great place to pick pumpkins this year and it was so much fun.

The Experience

Over the past ten years since I moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, I’ve probably visited five or six pumpkin patches in the area. The first time I tried Carrigan Farms for pumpkin picking was this year, and I’m so glad I did. Located in Mooresville, North Carolina, Carrigan Farms has a 20-acre pumpkin patch that features big small, green, and orange pumpkins to choose from. Carrigan Farms offers pumpkin picking for only $14 per person. You can ride a hayride and visit a petting zoo while you get your pumpkin. The cost of additional pumpkins is 75 cents per pound. The farm only accepts cash or checks.

After arriving, we waited about ten minutes for a tractor to take us to the pumpkin patch. It was overwhelming to see so many beautiful pumpkins. We have all kinds of pumpkins, from giant green and orange ones to cute little mini pumpkins. We picked out pumpkins at the petting zoo, took a few fall photos, and then got back on the tractor to return home. Below you will find a video summary of how the experience went. Overall, we had such a great afternoon of pumpkin picking. It is so much better in my opinion than getting a pumpkin from a store. If you’re looking for some fall fun this month, I highly recommend heading to the farm. Only $14 per person makes this a no-brainer.
