I pretty much am the worst at drinking water. A while back I did a review about LARQ (see here) and honestly ever since I got a cool water bottle I’ve improved with my water drinking habits…but I still am not the best. To review for all of my readers, I received the January month subscription to the Hydrate Club. In the package, there were four individually wrapped hydration drink mixes from a company called Skratchlabs. The flavors I received were the Sport Hydration Drink Mixes in Fruit Punch, Strawberry Lemonade, Orange, and Lemon & Lime. I decided to try out the Fruit Punch for this review and it tasted pretty good. It wasn’t as sweet as some of the hydration fruit punch drops I’ve tried in the past and I definitely felt hydrated after drinking it. I would say my energy definitely kicked in around twenty minutes after consuming it.
One thing I wanted to do since I had never heard of Skratchlabs before was to research it. I found the company website and saw that these hydration mixes sell for $1.95 each. I then began to do some math to make sure this subscription service was giving you the best bang for your buck. I did a mock order on the website and found I could purchase four packets with shipping for $11.11. Since this subscription box only includes four packets and includes shipping, I will say it costs a little more when you first start out your service because of the $3 setup fee. However, since the following months are all $10 each, once you are past your first month, it looks like it about evens out for what you pay for the subscription service.
Overall, I think the Hydrate Club is perfect for the athlete, outdoor enthusiast, or chronic illness warrior that doesn’t want to leave the home to stay hydrated. I also feel this is a great subscription box service for people who want to try out new and unique hydration brands in an easy way. I could easily see myself ordering a box or two if I was preparing for a big outdoor trip so I could get the best hydration during my adventure. I recommend giving this box a try if you are struggling to stay hydrated and want a diversity of electrolyte powders delivered right to your door.
