An Afternoon Hike at Crowders Mountain

An Afternoon Hike at Crowders Mountain

Life is my favorite adventure and yesterday I enjoyed a little hike to a local North Carolina favorite, Crowders Mountain. Located around only thirty-five minutes away from Uptown Charlotte, Crowders Mountain is one of my favorite spots to explore. The state park offers challenging hikes, towering cliffs, and 25-mile views of the surrounding piedmont area. For me, with quarantine, I have been trying my best to get out an exercise whenever I can. However, walking around the same neighborhoods for months is getting quite boring, so from time to time, I try to switch it up.

So, I decided yesterday afternoon that I was going to make the trek up Crowders Mountain. I love the rugged terrain of Crowders Mountain and the challenging workout it provides you. Hiking up the mountain and reading the motivational words written on the steps presents itself as not only motivation to push through but also during this time, a sense of hope. I can’t really explain it, but hiking up the mountain yesterday and reaching the gorgeous views that nature provides us was such a euphoric feeling.

Overall, hiking up the mountain was a great adventure. Simple, a great workout, and a perfect way to escape from the quarantine blues. To see more about hiking trails and information on Crowders Mountain click here.
