MudbuM Charlotte: Clean Your Dirty Face with a Natural Facial!

MudbuM Charlotte: Clean Your Dirty Face with a Natural Facial!

Let’s start off with a fun fact. If you didn’t already know, your skin is your largest organ, so taking care of it is pretty important. Well, guess what…there is a place that will help you clean that dirty face of yours! The owner, Kerri Flanigan, opened a second location of AIR® Aerial Fitness in Charlotte and introduced another amazing establishment. Thus, the birthplace of MudbuM® South Park where you can get a 30-minute facial that your face will surely thank you for.

How does it work? Well, in a nutshell, you can expect to be treated like a Queen or King with a licensed esthetician cleaning your dirty face with care and expertise. By using steam, cleansing formulas, exfoliating, masks, toning, and moisturizers all made with high-quality all-natural products, a facial at MudbuM is a facial like non-other.

The Lex Paige Reaction

First, don’t judge my photos ha! Secondly, I LOVED this experience. It made me feel like a million bucks once I was done, which when I got my first facial ever I could not say. Unlike most places that use harsh chemicals and may pluck and pry at your face, MudbuM, as mentioned above, uses all-natural products and cultivate a facial that is best for your skin. I took a photo of the whole list MudbuM Charlotte currently offers with some tips on each main facial option from Kerri below! (P.S. the atmosphere is adorable and hip!)

Mud: The active ingredient here is mud, and it’s intended to tighten your skin and even out your skin tone. It’s ideal if you’ve got dark spots.

Breathe: Those with sensitive skin are going to want to try this. The active ingredient is white kaolin clay and has a lavender smell. It isn’t heavy on your face and mixes with organically sourced breast milk if you’d like.

Glow: Suggested for those going to an event, this facial aids towards a more youthful look and has the active ingredient here is sandalwood. (I got this)

Fresh: Perfect for traveling, this will ‘refresh’ your face and bring life to dry, tired skin. It is mixed with Clean Juice and will make your skin feel alive again! (I got this)

Detox: If you’ve got blemish-prone skin, you’ll want to go for this deep cleansing mask. It uses charcoal to literally detox your skin, pulling all the toxins out to aid you on the way to a clearer complexion.

Men: A regular facial, but men have larger pores so this facial is tailored just for that. They use a warrior scrub and pair with a mask with a stronger happy face to moisturizer to finish.

My Facial

For my facial, I received a pumpkin peel paired with a double mark of Fresh and Glow all done by Sejal. IT WAS AMAZING! Seriously, I’m not just saying this but it made my skin and my whole self just feel rejuvenated. They started with the peel as the steam graced my face and opened up my pores. The peel had a little tingle to it which definitely woke me up, but for the rest of the day, my whole face smelled like pumpkin spice which was in my opinion, an added bonus.

Next was the two masks which were rubbed in with chilled blue glass globes and a nice massage! You can see from my pictures below it not only looks awesome it feels awesome. After, a warm-damp towel was used to clean off the mask and toner and then moisturizing oil was applied with a final massage.

My experience at MudbuM Charlotte was nothing but amazing. The experience is affordable and is the perfect ‘treat-yourself’ gift for you or someone you know. They have a whole product line available for purchase as well so I recommend checking the storefront out as well! One last thing I must add, something owner Kerri said that really stayed with me was MudbuM shows us all that it’s okay to be all-natural and enjoy it!
