Easy Apartment Hunting in Austin, Texas with Zumper

Austin Texas

I love living in Charlotte, North Carolina. Having tons of things to do in this city is one of the perks of living here. However, from time to time my boyfriend and I bring up the discussion of “what if” we were to move. One city that always comes up in the conversation is the one and only Austin, Texas.

For several years two of our good friends lived in Austin and it’s one of the fastest-growing cities in the U.S. The weather is great, the future is amazing and this creative, collaborative hub still feels like a small town which I love. When visiting, the food we tried was incredible and they had a lot to explore. I was nervous that there wouldn’t be a lot of nature to explore, but I was pleasantly proven wrong. One of my favorite nature spots is the River Place Nature Trail. It reminded me of some of my favorite nature trails in the Carolinas because of their wildlife and privacy. The vibe in Austin is so diverse and makes moving there a compelling prospect if we ever want to live elsewhere.

With that being said, apartments are going up like crazy and there are tons of properties to look at. It can be extremely stressful to look for a new apartment. With hundreds of sites, signs, and newspaper ads, it can get a bit overwhelming while trying to find your new nest. The combination of trying to find a place with amenities, within your budget, and not in a forensics-related neighborhood will make your head spin. Since I like window shopping, because you never know what the future holds, I started to look at some Austin, Texas apartment listings using Zumper.

So, what is Zumper? Zumper is used by millions of renters to find houses, rooms, condos, or apartments for rent. You can apply online and submit digital rental applications and credit reports with Zumper’s screening service, powered by TransUnion™. Zumper has tons of quality listings to choose from. I love how user-friendly Zumper is and the wide variety they provide. You can filter apartments by location, price range, bedroom count, pet-friendliness, or amenities which is awesome.

Finding the right place to settle down is essential so during my search I found two different apartments in Austin, Texas that were absolutely perfect for me. I found these apartments using the apartment reach tool Zumper and setting my specific needs. By filtering the price, number of bedrooms, number of bathrooms needed, and pet friendly, I was able to narrow down my search and avoid unneeded searching stress.

My Two Favorite Finds

1.Monterey Ranch Apartments: This apartment had three bedrooms available for under $2,000! They were 1,107 square feet and Zumper provided detailed apartment layout images. The apartment complex also comes with a  yoga deck!

2. This one is a more homestyle apartment but I absolutely loved it. This 3 bedroom townhome-style condo has a functional floor plan and a terrific location. It comes with a  balcony and a fenced-in backyard with a patio. Also, I’m big on having a washer and dryer unit and this one comes with one and also covers water, sewer, trash, and 2 parking spaces. I would have never found this without Zumper.

You can also get alerts right away by allowing alert notifications when a new listing is posted. Zumper’s inventory is updated in real-time, so you’ll always see new rentals on their website first. I 100% recommend using Zumper when you are searching for your next apartment or one of these additional apartment hunting sites.

With Love,
