I maybe twenty-six years old, but I still like my time with Grandma. (Yes, my second review and I got older) Back in June of this year, Gramma in a Box, a subscription box sharing the magic of making crafts and sweets with grandma, was so generous and sent a blog to review for all of you. What is Gramma in a Box?
This box was created by an actual Gramma and is designed as a fun activity that you can complete together with the ones you love. (Minus the hard labor) Gramma in a Box is a box filled with fun and the comforts of grandma’s sweet treats. Monthly, you will receive a box filled with instructions, tools, and almost everything you need to make and decorate cookies and candy treats.
This month’s box was themed “Beach Party Treats” and included a card listing the contents and what you will need from home. To share the fun, my friends Jessica and Michele both helped me out. We had our little station set up and went one by one making each of the activities which included marshmallow goldfish bowls swimming in the ‘blue sea’, chocolate-covered seashell pretzels, and sealife cookies.
My favorite treat was yet again, the cookies. I think the fish cookies were the cutest. The color of the icing that was sent I may also be obsessed with. Not only did it taste good, but those paisley colors are perfection! I think we may have made the goldfish bowls upside down, but I’m not mad it. (They still were yummy) My second favorite was the chocolate covered pretzels. I loved the added touch of putting the chocolate seashells on them which gave more life to the beach theme.
I always have so much fun with this subscription box. I would 100% recommend getting Gramma in a Box as a gift or for children under age ten. I have yet to see any other subscription box that sends you baked cookies, all the decorations and step-by-step instructions with illustrations like this box do.
