During my junior year of college, I took a film class that I originally thought would have done nothing for my future, until it ended up giving me one of my best friends; Mark Borja.
Five years later, Mark and I are still partners in crime and have taken too many photos to keep track, and bonus surprise, we are now coworkers too. But now is about the part where you are asking yourself, why am I telling you this? Well, in October of 2017 Mark was diagnosed with Testicular Cancer and after losing a man, he decided to do something about it and we need your help with #SaveANut.
The Purpose of #SaveANut
It all started with an idea curated by Mark, that no man should ever feel bad or empty about himself for losing a part of his manhood. No matter how bad it is or how abnormal you look, it should not become a deficiency that stops a man from being who they want to be or going after what they want. This is the idea that losing one nut can make you more of a man than ever before.
Now, Mark wants to help make a difference and save others from ever going through the same thing he did, with #SaveANut and a local charity event he will be hosting in August 2018. Along with the help of Third Rock Events and Sponsor by the Testicular Cancer Foundation, the event #PaintYourBallsOut will be hosted in South End Charlotte and supporters will be given a canvas to paint their balls out. The goal is to make nuts look beautiful and shed new light on Testicular Cancer.
So listen up people, it’s now your turn to get involved and see how you can help! Whether it’s through sponsoring the event or helping make content about raising awareness or funds, I want you to get involved because not only did this terrible disease affect my friend, but it affects millions of other guys out there too.
