As someone who loves all things ghostly and paranormal, this was truly a dream night for me. And it was the perfect way to start getting into the Halloween spirit. We booked the tour for a Tuesday night date, wanting something a little out of the box. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint.

Our host for the evening, the wonderful Wendy, guided us on a walking tour through downtown Raleigh, sharing haunted stories connected to some of the city’s most historic buildings. Wendy’s storytelling was captivating; she skillfully blended spooky tales with true historical events, making us feel as though we were transported back in time (and perhaps like something was watching us).
We explored shadowy alleyways, paused at eerie landmarks, and learned about long-lost spirits that are rumored to still inhabit the city’s oldest buildings and the haunted Governor’s Mansion. I have always been fascinated by ghost stories, but hearing them told while standing in the exact locations where they occurred was both chilling and enjoyable. Don’t believe me?
