HASK IS BACK…and so is summer! That’s right people, summer doesn’t have to end thanks to HASK’s Hawaiian Sea Salt Beach Wave Texture Collection!
My hair is naturally straight, which is at times frustrating because I love being able to have beachy waves that the salty water helps to create. Thankfully, HASK’s introduced its Hawaiian Sea Salt Texture Collection late this summer which I was able to test out.
About the Brand
HASK is a collection of hair care products featuring exotic oils and other unique ingredients from around the world. The range includes shampoos, conditioners, deep conditioners, and shine oils based on the key ingredients of Argan Oil, Monoi Coconut Oil, Charcoal Citrus Oil, Macadamia Oil, Keratin Protein Oil, Bamboo Oil, Kalahari Melon Oil, Chia Seed Oil, Superfruit, and Mint Almond Oil. Each system was developed to target and solve specific hair care needs. HASK’s Hawaiian Sea Salt Beach Texture Collection is free of sulfates, parabens, phthalates, gluten, and artificial colors. Because of its ingredients (Shown Below), this collection has the ability to create “ocean-sprayed” waves while not damaging your hair which was something I have yet to find in a hair collection.

The Lex Paige Reaction: Using these products for two weeks before writing this post, I found that the only issue was sleeping with the texture spray in my wet hair which caused some dryness and knots. I would advise not to use the texture spray if your hair is naturally prone to dryness because it still formulates that ocean-like hair texture, which does leave your hair a lot less moisturized. Now, if you wash your hair with the shampoo and conditioner then braid your hair first before putting the texture spray in, you can avoid the knotting and some of that dryness. I tried out this technique after dealing with the knots and found my hair 100% more manageable and certainly beachy. (See Photo)
Overall, these products truly did enhance my loose waves and gave it a beachy-suntan lotion smell that I loved. I have reviewed HASK products a total of 6 times…so you can clearly tell I love their products…but this collection has got to be one of my favorites. I love how affordable the products are too, selling for only $7.99 each and available at your local Ulta.

My hair is straight as can be as well. I do love the look of waves but the humidity makes it almost impossible. I’ll have to check this out!
