As you know I love some skincare products and good oil as mentioned in previous blog entries. This is why when I recently received Eden’s Semilla 100% Pure Jojoba Oil I was elated to try it out in order to review it for all of you.
A little background on the company first, Eden’s Semilla is a fairly new online business that sells oils and serums to a worldwide market. What’s interesting about the name is that it is actually Spanish, meaning Eden’s Seed. This was chosen because originally a large part of the U.S market was Spanish and our original product was Rosehip Oil which was sourced from Latin America. Since expanding, Eden’s Semilla has markets in both Canada and Europe, selling facial serums and more recently Jojoba Oil.
This 2oz bottle of Jojoba Oil is the newest product in Eden’s Semilla product line and is 100% all-natural and organic. Having a close resemblance to human sebum which we naturally produce through our skin glands, this product is a great moisturizer for your face, skin, hair, and nails.
You’ll be happy to know, the oil comes bottled and boxed with a dropper top inserted and a separate medicine style dropper for applying. Using this product for the past two weeks, I found it was not greasy at all. I always have a fear of this with oil products, but this oil left no greasy after effect. It soaks into your skin quickly and leaves your skin continuously smooth and hydrated. All you have to do is take three drops in the palm of your hand and rub them on the concentrated area. This worked out very well for me, especially for the skin on my face which has been recently dry. An added bonus, this oil has a very citrusy scent, almost like a mixture of lemons and oranges which was an overall clean smell that I enjoyed.
Now when using this on my hair, I applied about five drops of the oil in the palm of my hand and then added it with my conditioner when showering for extra smoothness. I really loved how my hair felt after washing it and my scalp wasn’t left itchy or oily-looking.
