So a couple of months ago I was doing my daily routine of searching through Spotify for new, awesome music…and as I am browsing the vast musical library, I came across this strange song called, “Gold” by an artist named Kiiara. Well, I had no idea who the hell Kiiara was, but I figured why not give it a shot.
Well, to be blunt I had no idea what the hell the song was saying, but it was moving me. It had a killer beat and I bizarrely liked the fact I had no idea what the hell she was saying in the chorus. However, despite the fact I had no idea whom this artist was at the time…it didn’t take more than a minute for me to fall in love with not only the song… but I fell in love with Kiiara too. (Once you listen to the song you’ll understand)
So anyway, after hearing this track I wanted to know more about who Kiiara was. Funny enough, I discovered Kiiara is actually a 20-year-old bad-ass hardware clerk from Illinois who has broken into the music scene in 2015 after being signed by Atlantic records. And as far as I’m concerned, I don’t think she’s stepping out of music anytime soon, which (I mean after hearing her one song, I immediately wanted more music from her)
Luckily, Kiiara just released “Lo Kii Savage” which features six new tracks of pure bliss. My personal favorites include, “Feels” “Tennessee” and “Hang up the phone.” All three tracks have this super-sonic sensation to them with these subtly tribal influenced beats. It’s literally gold. (No pun intended) BUT SERIOUSLY, point-blank, Kiiara’s music is the kind that pulls you in and leaves you wanted more. I have way too many “Feels” for her. ( Okay that one was puny) But honestly, Kiiara is beyond talented and destined for stardom, which is why she is an artist You Must Watch!
